Problem & users

The project is intended to explore how a financial ledger can keep transfers and accounting consistent when requests repeat or processes fail.

Implementation

The repository currently establishes the project and its direction. The README identifies Java, Spring Boot and PostgreSQL as the intended service stack; these are plans, not delivered capabilities.

Engineering decision

The planned design centers on double-entry accounting, idempotent transfers, a hash-chained event log and reconciliation. Crash safety and tamper detection remain implementation goals.

Evidence

The README explicitly describes initial setup and the start of the Spring Boot service. The architecture, security and runbook documents are placeholders at this revision.

Current limitations

  • No working ledger or product screenshot is evidenced at this revision. Kubernetes, Terraform/AWS, delivery security gates and observability are planned, not deployed features.
